Welcome to the SSA Chorus Website!

The SSA Chorus is an institution that has been around almost as long as the agency. One of our singers has been with the chorus over 50 years! With twelve "active" members, the SSA Chorus is still in demand throughout the Baltimore area. It provides a unique community service on behalf of SSA that brings a smile and stirs a memory among the many people it serves.

The Chorus visits Senior Centers, hospitals, nursing homes, adult daycare centers, the Maryland School for the Blind, and various other places to give our beneficiaries enjoyment with songs they remember from years past. The Chorus entertains and enlightens the public to the realization that a large agency such as SSA is made up of people with a concern for and dedication to the community.

This web site describes who we are, what organizations we sing for, how to request the SSA Chorus for any performance, and where we came from (our background). If you are a current or previous SSA employee, enjoy singing, and can carry a tune (especially if you read music and participate in other singing groups), we invite you to come to our rehearsals, and if interested, audition to become a member.
